Cotton: Promoting drip irrigation, + 32 % yield

In this study, the cotton producer wanted to use both Flobond LX50 Anti-salt and Flobond DI2010 Water Saver for their own properties and wanted to check the possibility of getting high yield in drip irrigation using the same amount of water.
The farmer already used Flobond range for 2 years in his furrow fields and is convinced.
The Drip Irrigation field used to be irrigated 8 times the previous years, VS 5 times in this experiment.
The Furrow Irrigation field is irrigated 4 times with Flobond also, as previous years.

METHODOLOGY

  • Dosage: 20 kg/ha Flobond LX50 Anti-salt + 3 x 15kg/ha Flobond DI2010 Water Saver
  • Heavy Clay
  • Field: 3,5 ha – Application area: 13,5 ha
  • Sowing: May
  • Harvest: 2023, September 29th
  • Location: Izmir, Turkey

Conclusion

This case study is very interesting to promote Drip Irrigation associated with Flobond, to replace Furrow irrigation system. Indeed, the yield is increased by 32% with a little bit less of water (- 2%).
